The IRS: The Very Embodiment of Record Keeping, Loses Lois Lerner's Emails?

For two years now, the IRS has stonewalled Congress in providing access to any records and communications related to the scandal over that agency's blocking of conservative groups from gaining 501(c) tax-free status.  Lois Lerner, a D.C.-based IRS employee, appears to be at the heart of it, and may in fact, have ties to the White House.  However, she has clammed up; refusing to answer any of Congress' questions by citing her 5th Amendment right not to incriminate herself.

Now, conveniently, the IRS -- the Agency that maintains so many detailed records on almost every American -- has managed to lose any and all emails either to and from Lois Lerner because her hard drive crashed.  Well, what about backup files?  Or, too, what about everyone who sent or received a Lerner email? They should also have a copy of those files on their hard drives.   Does anyone really find this "hard drive crash excuse" to be believable?  If anything, it just shows that those emails must contain damaging information and that they needed to be purged.  Obviously, there is an effort, here, to protect some high ranking people at either the IRS or the White House.  Does anyone smell a rat like the 18-1/2 minute gap in those famous Nixon Watergate tapes?  It's not looking too good for Obama's claim that the IRS scandal is a phony one.

Oh, by the way. The next time you get audited, try telling the IRS that you "lost" the supporting documentation for your deductions.  My guess is that you'll pay through the nose for that comment.

Brian Ross: An Anti-Conservative Activist Reporter

In the early minutes following the Dark Knight Movie Massacre, Brian Ross attempted to link the Tea Party to the shooting. It appears Mr. Ross has a history of going after conservatives under the "guise" of investigative reporting.

Take, for example, his investigation of a company called Goldline; a national gold and precious metal dealer.  In that instance like his Dark Knight investigation, he announced the big breaking news on 'Good Morning America' that Goldline was being charged with 19-counts (19 different customers) of "misdemeanor" crimes associated with its selling practices.  But, it wasn't just enough to announce that the company may have to go to court to defend itself against these charges.  He made sure that the whole world knew that Goldline had the backing of several conservative heavyweights like Glenn Beck, Fred Thompson, and Mike Huckabee.   In doing so, it was clear that his intent was to connect conservatives with the alleged crimes.  Of course, I also find it interesting that Brian Ross and ABC would make such a big news announcement on one of their premier shows over a non-felony (misdemeanor) court filing in a local court in Los Angeles.  What's next? An investigation of all the speeding tickets that conservatives have gotten in a year?

Here's a link to the actual ABC New print story which includes Brian Ross' "Good Morning America" breaking news announcement video:  http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/goldline-execs-charged-fraud/story?id=14857253#.UA8AgqNFodW

ABC & Brian Ross Thought They Finally Nailed The Tea Party

Every time there's some type of major shooting event or foiled terrorist plot, our left-wing, main stream media and liberals in general go out of their way to connect those events to the conservative Tea Party movement.  They did it with the Gabby Gifford's shooting, by trying to connect the shooter, Jared Loughner, to Sarah Palin and the Tea Party; when, in fact, Loughner was probably more a liberal than a conservative.   In 2010, after a failed car bombing attempt in Times Square, there was no end in trying to connect the Tea Party to that event as well; even though there was no basis for the claim.  It was pure liberal speculation that was clearly intended to try and turn the country against the conservative movement.

Then, there was this horrific mass killing in Aurora, Colorado.  As soon as the name of the shooter was released, Brian Ross and his people jumped on finding out as much as they could about the perpetrator.  The name of the shooter was James Holmes; of which there are 38 in Colorado.  But, Mr. Ross zeroed in on one man named: Jim Holmes, a Hispanic male living in Aurora who's name appears on a Colorado Tea Party site.  How, they found this "Jim Holmes" is anyone's guess.  Maybe they started out by Googling:  "tea party james holmes aurora colorado".  Anyway, they must have been tripping over themselves to go on the air with George Stephanopoulis to get the "real" news out about the shooting during that morning's run of ABC's "Good Morning America".   And, for sure, they must have been dancing around with high-fives to everyone; believing that they finally nailed the Tea Party as a subversive group.

Unfortunately for the Jim Holmes of Aurora, Colorado, Brian Ross and ABC had the wrong guy.   Of course, much later, long, long after it was obvious that Ross' Jim Holmes was not the shooter, he issued a quick and short apology.  But, to the many that heard the original report, the shooter was still connected to the Tea Party.   Issuing an apology, later in the day, with a possibly different audience in not good enough.  That apology should be repeated at the very time and on the show that it occurred.   This is so typical.  Whenever a lefty newspaper, like the New York Times, thinks they've nailed some Republican, they splash it all over page one.  But, when they're wrong and have to issue a retraction, its always buried deep inside the paper.

Stuff like this that makes it twice as hard for Republicans to win or get their message out.  It is a shame we don't have an honest reporting of the news.

Obama and the Democrats Big "Occupy" Blunder

Early on, many Democrats and liberal media personalities hooked their wagons to the "Occupy" movement; thinking that these protestors would bring them the same political success in 2012 that the TEA Party brought to the GOP in 2010. But, in typical Democrat fashion, their logic was flawed. That's because they really didn't understand the type of people they were dealing with.

Now, its looking more like the Democrats have got a hungry, violent tiger by the tail. And, that tiger just might eat them all alive when the 2012 elections roll around. As the violence in the streets continues to escalate, public opinion of the movement continues to decline. In the latest Quinnipiac University polling, only 30% of overall respondents approved of the "Occupy" protesters. While the protestors, themselves, might think they represent 99% of the population, that poll hardly supports that belief.

Americans increasingly fail to see these people as a valid political movement like the TEA party. Instead, they are starting to see the protestors for what they really are: Anarchists. On October 18th, in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, former Bill Clinton pollster and political analyst, Doug Schoen, warned Obama and the Democrats about this very real possibility when he wrote: "President Obama and the Democratic leadership are making a critical error in embracing the Occupy Wall Street movement—and it may cost them the 2012 election." What Schoen knew, then, from the many interviews he conducted with the protestors themselves is that 31% of them advocated violence in order to achieve their goals. (Click here to See Schoen's Article: "Polling the Occupy Wall Street Crowd")

Violence will only get worse from this point forward. It will grow out of the frustration that the movement is losing support and attention. You can't have a 31% violent underpinning in any movement and expect it to remain civil. In fact, it is my guess that, as the violence increases, the less violent members will leave the movement; only to be replaced with those even more volatile. When that happens, you can expect to see the same kind of inflamed protests that we are now seeing in Europe. Many Americans will then blame Obama and the Democrats for fueling and fanning the flames of class warfare -- the kind of class warfare that initially spawned the "Occupy" movement. That's when Doug Schoen's prediction of 2012 losses for the Democrats will come true. Just mark my words.

Obama Ignoring Hoffa's Remarks Reflects His Lack of Leadership

Sure, it wasn't President Obama that said "we're going to take these son-of-a-bitches out" when talking about the TEA Party and the GOP at the labor union rally yesterday. They were the words of Jimmy Hoffa Jr., the leader of the Teamsters Union. (Click to See the Hoffa Video)

However, in not condemning those words in his appearance on the same stage, just after Hoffa said them, Obama certified them as if they were his own. If Obama didn't agree with what was said and still remained silent in its condemnation, it reflects a cowardliness and a lack of leadership in taking a stand against one of the most uncivil remarks we've heard this year. In the wake of the "Gabby" Giffords' shooting, it's hard to see how he could condone what was said; especially after lecturing the country on "civility" in the speech that he gave just following that horrendous shooting. Once again, the President leaves the country wondering what kind of person and what kind of leader he really is.

Obama's New "Put Country Before Party" Slogan

Thinking that he can continue his incessant drumbeat of divisive rhetoric, Obama has unveiled a new slogan: "Put Country Before Party".

Of course, this is aimed at turning Americans "against" the GOP and the TEA Party as a preemptive strike against any objections to his upcoming jobs plan. However, if you really analyze what he's saying, he's telling the GOP/TEA Party to put "his plan" and "his party" ahead of "theirs". Or, better said: "Put the Democratic Party ahead of Country!"

Unfortunately, it's that very attitude from this ideologically-driven, partisan President that has kept this country from getting any meaningful recovery during these months of drawn-out economic stagnation.

Beaten. The Left Lashes Out At The Tea Party

As the debt ceiling debate progressed, the left-wing media and left-wing politicians became increasingly angry and vocal as they began to realize that there wouldn't be any tax increases and, instead (horror or horrors) tax increases would be replaced with actual cuts in spending as a means of lowering the debt. This very possibility was like a red hot, smoldering metal stake being driven into the heart of any self-respecting tax-and-spend liberal. I mean, the left went completely berserk.

So, in the last week, we saw the Dems strikeout at, primarily, the Tea Party; like a bunch of school kids crying and name calling after having been severely beaten in a fight on the playground. They referred to the Tea Party as terrorists. In fact, our idiot V.P., Joe Biden, weighed in with that very declaration when he remarked that they "have acted like terrorists"; which, I guess, makes our Vice President the biggest cry baby in a gaggle of cry babies. Certainly, that comment by Biden speaks volumes about a man who is, God help us, first in line to become president should anything happen to Obama.

Then, in speeches and interviews, the left continually claimed the nation was being "held hostage" by the "extreme" members of the GOP: the Tea Party. Other comments were that they were anti-American, anti-democratic and, even, Nazis.

What really rubs the left wrong is the fact that they keep getting beaten by the Tea Party. They trounced them in the last election with Democrats completely losing the House and, at the same time, losing their comfy super-majority in the Senate. Now, the left has been beaten again in the debt ceiling debate. What next? Losing the Senate majority and the Presidency? My guess is that this very real possibility will drive the Democrats to become even more rabid in the months running up to the 2012 election. It will be like watching Charlie Sheen's meltdown; but, this time, in spades.

Lastly, I think its funny that the Tea Party was able to turn the tables on Obama by never letting a good crisis go to waste!

OK, Al Qaeda. You've Finally Gone Too Far!

I guess in the mind of Obama, Al Qaeda's killing of white people is just fine.

Up until yesterday, he literally choked on the word "terrorist" whenever he talked about radical Islam (Click here to See Story: President Obama, White House: Al Qaeda Is Racist). But no longer. Now, Al Qaeda has finally made it to Obama's shit list. In their killing of a few dozen black Africans in the Uganda bombings, the President has now seen fit to strike out at Al Qaeda by calling them a "terrorist organization" of "racists" who "do not regard African life as valuable in and of itself." He then went on to say: "They see it as a potential place where you can carry out ideological battles that kill innocents without regard to long-term consequences for their short-term tactical gains. " Though in this last comment, he may have been referring to the Republican Party.

Obviously, this now puts Al Qaeda in league with the Tea Party movement. If they had been smarter, they would have limited their killings to "crackers". That way they could have gotten a free pass from Holder's Justice Department; just like the New Black Panthers did. Now, I suppose, the Attorney General has no other choice but to issue an FBI warrant against Al Qaeda for committing a federal "hate crime".

You Can Just Feel The Winds of Change

It now appears that, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican, the voters are angry and, if any politician is irresponsible in spending, taxation, or both, they will be soundly defeated at either the primary level or the mid-term elections this Fall. The change that Barack Obama touted during his candidacy is well underway and not in the way that this President seemed to have planned for. In fact, he is the catalyst and not the implementer of the change that we will see in Washington next year.

We are now more ideologically divided than ever; with the Independents increasingly moving to side with the GOP and leaving the Democrats to stand alone with their liberal tax and spend philosophies that may very well bring this country to its knees.

First, we saw it in the ouster of former Senator and then-Governor, Democrat Jon Corzine, in the heavily Democratic state of New Jersey. At the same time, Republican Bob McDonnell successfully retook the Governor's Mansion in Virginia. Then, the "iconic" seat of Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy was amazingly and "irreverently" seized by the Republican, Scott Brown.

But, it isn't just the Democrats who are in danger. For his embrace of the Stimulus Package and his appearance with Barack Obama, Florida's Republican ex-Governor Crist was forced by the upstart challenger Marc Rubio, to drop out of the running for the GOP Senate nomination. The once-popular Crist, in desperation, is now running as an Independent.

Yesterday, Republican Senator Bob Bennett of Utah found out the voter's sentiment the hard way when he was tossed out of the GOP convention; abruptly ending this three-term Senator's bid for re-election. Like Crist, he was too cozy with the Democrats in Health Care Reform. He also was a big spender when it came to garnering earmarks for his state.

In the case of both Crist and Bennett, the Tea Party showed its strength by backing the opposing candidates against these once-popular mainstays of Republican politics. For these politicians and many others, the winds of change are blowing right into their faces. The cowards who have seen the handwriting on the wall -- mostly Democrats -- have already announced that they won't run for another term; and, that list is getting longer with the most recent "retirement" of the powerful Wisconsin Democrat, David Obey. It is looking more and more like we will have a blood bath in the fall for all those business-as-usual, tax-and/or-spend politicians; no matter what party they belong to.

"Trust" At A New Low For Our U.S. Government

On April 19, Pew Research released the results of a poll that reported that only 22% of Americans trusted the government (Click to See Full NPR Story: Pew Poll: Trust In Government Hits Near-Historic Low). Pew actually repeated the same poll three times because they couldn't believe the results. But, is it any wonder?

The government, now primarily run by Democrats, has done nothing in the last year and a quarter to warrant any trust at all. There's been back room dealing behind closed doors to Democratic special interest groups like the labor unions. There have been billion dollar bribes for Senatorial and Congressional votes on health care. We had a takeover of General Motors by this government and the United Auto Workers walked away with control of the company; rather than the creditors. There was a near trillion dollars spent to create jobs with nothing to show for it except that union groups like the teachers, cops, and firefighters got to keep their jobs. Then, $75 billion dollars to thwart the rate of foreclosures; yet, foreclosures are running higher than ever. We had a 30% increase in the national debt in one year and, now, there's talk of a new and more onerous Value Added Tax that will kill even more jobs. Then, there was passage of a health care bill that 60% of this country didn't want. And, finally, a possible coordinated effort between the White House, the New York Times, and the Securities and Exchange Commission to disgrace Goldman-Sachs as a means of pushing through the control of the financial system of this country.

Personally, I can't believe that ANYONE trusts this government!

When someone like Bill Clinton talks about the danger of the Tea Party creating the conditions that spawned the Oklahoma City bombing, he should be very careful. When as many people, as the PEW poll suggests, seem to be anti-government, we are looking at one that is Democratically controlled and who, by itself, could spawn possible violence because it is not listening to the people. I think Bill Clinton should worry more about his own Democratic party; rather than the Tea Party who seems to be more in step with main-stream America.

Who's The Real Racist

Yesterday, an NBC reporter, Ms. Kelley O'Donnell, singled out a Black person at one of the many Tea Party rallies and asked, on camera, if he was "uncomfortable" in attending that rally - implying that, somehow, a black wouldn't be accepted by a bunch of white, racist Tea Partiers (Click to See Video).

But, who's the real racist here? A bunch of Tea Party members who will readily accept any like-minded person and who could care less what color they are? Or, the white liberal journalist, Kelley O'Donnell, who lives in a world, like so many other Democrats, where Blacks have been stereotyped and pigeon-holed as having only one place in life as a Progressive Liberal? And, apparently, find it unbelievable and, I assume, unacceptable for any Black to step outside this box that the Democrats have so self-servingly put them in. Thus casting Blacks as abunch of mindless automatons of the Democratic Party.

AreThe Tea PartiesThe Beginning of a New Political Party?

While conservatives/Republicans made up the majority of those attending the nationwide Tea Parties of yesterday, there were plenty of Democrats and Libertarians that also attended. The theme wasn't necessarily against the Democrats in power; but, instead, against big spending by both Republicans under Bush, and the Democrats of today.

I think the Tea Parties represent a reaction against taxes upon taxes without any real benefits to the greater good. This just might be the small roots of what could be a new political party. It could be the "change" that Obama talked about but not the change he expected; and, Obama could have been both the catalyst and the last straw.

This new party could be a party of fiscal responsibility. A party that is tired of the same old Washington games with our politicians being bought off by both money and influence. It could be the beginnings of a return to what this country was actually founded upon. A government of the people; by the people; and for the people...with liberty and justice for all -- not just the rich, the well-connected, and all too often, the criminals, themselves.

I think that both the Republicans and the Democrats, should be worried about what happened yesterday. If this is the start of a new political party, we could see the memberships of both existing parties start to be siphoned off to the extent that neither of them would remain strong enough to compete on a national basis. For sure, the Republican party might actually cease to exist. The Democrats could be simply left with a membership that is composed of some minority societal elements.

We'll have to wait and see what happens.
