Hillary Clinton Has the Peter Principal Hanging Over Her Head

In 1969, a man by the name of Laurence J. Peter shocked the business world with his book titled "Peter Principle".  Essentially, he claimed that managers stop being promoted when they reach a level of incompetence.  Incompetence that is a result of promoting people on the basis of what they have done in their current job and not how well they are equipped to handle the job they're being promoted into.

On that assumption, Hillary Clinton reached her level of incompetence when she became Secretary of State.   In an interview with ABC News' Diane Sawyer in 2014, she could not name one accomplishment during her stint as Secretary of State.  This, after she flubbed the same question in a New York Times interview two months earlier. Apparently, two months wasn't enough time to prepare her for a similar question.

More importantly, during that time, she demonstrated pure incompetence on many key issues:

• The Russian Reset.  Besides embarrassing herself and our country by getting the spelling wrong for the Russian word for "reset" on a symbolic gift to the Russian Foreign Minister, the relations have "reset" us back to looking more like the days of the "Cold War" and not something better than when Bush was in office.
• Following the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti, she authorized millions to be spent to create 65,000 jobs by building a gleaming industrial park in a country that had more than a million unemployed. To date, only 11,000 workers have been employed with no more growth in sight.
• 9/11 Benghazi Attacks. We all know she lied about the reason for the attacks.  However, the fact that we were even in Benghazi on 9/11 is due to incompetence.  Long before the attack, multiple warning signs clearly showed that things were quickly degrading in Libya.  She and her appointees disregarded Ambassador Stevens' communications of security concerns.  Additionally, she ignored the fact that both the International Red Cross and the Brits left the country because of increasing concerns over the security of their people. Yet, we stayed and 4 Americans died.
• Then, there was the complete incompetence of Hillary's private email server which put this country's top secrets at risk.

However, in my opinion, the biggest demonstration of incompetence was her declared friendship with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.  In a March 2009 interview with an Arab television network Al Arabiya in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt, after meeting with Mubarak, Seretary Clinton said this, when asked about Egypt being on her country's human rights abuse list:

We look forward to President Mubarak coming as soon as his schedule would permit. I had a wonderful time with him this morning. I really consider President and Mrs. Mubarak to be friends of my family. So I hope to see him often here in Egypt and in the United States.

Friends of her family?  In 2011, Mubarak was forced to step down over massive protests in the streets of Egypt.  In that same year, he was sentenced to life imprisonment for his abuse of power and corruption while President.  Maybe that's why Hillary and Mubarak were such good friends?

Now, she wants to demonstrate her further incompetence and completely validate the concept of the "Peter Principle" by becoming President of the United States.

The Lincoln Bedroom and the Clinton Foundation: Same Ol' Same Ol'

Just recently, the Associated Press (AP) revealed that 85 of the 154 people who -- outside of the federal government and who had special, non-State-Department-business access to the then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton -- had all been contributors to the Clinton Foundation.  Quite a coincidence, isn't it?

Well, this shouldn't be any surprise.  It's what the Clinton's do.

Back in 1997, the story broke, that in 1996, Bill Clinton and top aides had a bunch of broad fund raising strategies which included "sleep overs" in the Lincoln Bedroom of the White House.  In fact those "sleep overs"  ultimately, resulted in millions of dollars being funneled to the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

And, those Lincoln Bedroom Buddies are still the gifts that keep on giving.

In February 2008,  49 of the famous "PJ Party" crowd were among the top 200 donors to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign via payments to and through the DNC; each pledging at least $100,000 and some promising at least one million.  Even as late as October of last year, Slate.com reported that 34 of those still-living Lincoln sleep-over participants were continuing to commit funds for Hillary's second presidential run.

God only knows what will be up for "sale", if and when she actually becomes President.

A Story Of Two Black Women Who Would Be Secretary Of State

When Senators McCain and Graham said they didn't consider Susan Rice a qualified candidate to be Secretary of State, the Democrats circled the wagons to protect Rice.  The women of the Congressional Black Caucus concluded that the McCain/Graham objections could only have been made on the basis of racism because no one is more qualified than Rice to hold the State Department's highest office.  After all she was a Rhodes Scholar.

Well, how easily those same women of the Congressional Black Caucus forget that another black woman by the name of Rice, Condoleezza, was similarly treated by the Senate Democrats when George Bush nominated her to be Secretary of State.  In fact, it wasn't just two senators who objected to Condoleeza's nomination. It was 13.  And, as far as being qualified, she was not only the youngest Provost at the prestigious Stanford University; she was the first minority in a world dominated by men.

So, you have to ask yourself why it is racist to potentially block Susan Rice's nomination when, in fact, no one made that same claim when Condoleezza was being nominated to that very same position?  Once again, with Democrats, racism is just another political tool.  If they were truly anti-racist, they would have afforded Condoleezza Rice the same arguments of racial protection that they are now affording Susan Rice.

Hillary's Fatal Flaw is Exposed

In the world of diplomacy, it is essential that the entire "corp" of diplomats keep their cool under fire.

Earlier this week, our Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton -- the U.S.' top diplomat ---lost it when she was asked an improperly translated question by a Congolese college student (Click to See Full Story: "Clinton loses her temper in Congo").

It is apparent that this student had hit a raw nerve as exhibited by her explosive response to a simple question that she "thought" was about Bill Clinton. A nerve that had been apparently laid bare by the years of being in the shadow of of Bill Clinton. When you really think about it, Hillary, just before this blowup, was upstaged by Bill, again, with his rescue of the two journalists that were being held captive by the North Koreans. In many ways, that should have been Hillary's job to do. But, instead, Bill got the glory.

I think, too, Hillary is being frustrated by feeling like she's on a treadmill of busy work. It just seems like she's being excluded from the heavy lifting by just sending her on "tours" to places like the Congo. Obama has, time and time, again, handed the "hot spot" diplomacy jobs to people like Bill Clinton and to special envoys like Richard Holbrooke in Pakistan; to Farah Pandith as the State Department’s new Special Envoy to Muslim Communities; and to George Mitchell, the Special Envoy to the Middle East.

The problem with Hillary's outburst is that she has now weakened her ability to be an effective diplomat. Some foreign diplomats, especially those of our enemies, could actually take advantage of this apparent flaw and exploit it in order to gain the upper hand in negotiations. It's like playing poker. Once everybody is able to see through your poker-face, you are no longer able to bluff and win consistently. Literally, Hillary has lost her poker-face.

I personally don't expect Hillary to remain in her job very much longer. This outburst may have actually signaled that fact. When she blew up, she exhibited one of the typical "disgruntled employee" characteristics that I have seen so many times in my past role of being a manager in business. In the world of business, it would be time for a boss to sit down with the employee to try and get to the heart of their anger and, in doing so, try and come up with some resolution that would avoid losing that employee. But, Obama has no management skills to really speak of and he probably doesn't even recognize her frustration. Then, too, he might not even care if he did recognize it.

It could be that we are actually seeing the "start" of a new Hillary campaign to be the next Governor of New York. Who knows? But, that would be my guess for her next political move. Only time will tell.
