Having worked at a Fortune 200 company and been involved with numerous acquisitions and one major merger, the most difficult task in bringing two companies together is dealing with two distinct corporate cultures. Every company has it's own corporate culture, which usually stems from the personality of its leadership.
Fox News seems no different. The fact that Roger Ailes was forced out only weeks ago for sexual harassment; and, now Bill O'Reilly -- the network's "franchise" -- is forced out for the same reason speaks volumes as to the character and culture of this popular cable station. Add to this, the fact that a lesser known Fox News personality, Steve Doocy, was also caught up in the sexual harassment story, one can only wonder if this attitude towards women is somewhat pervasive at the network.
The fact that O'Reilly was discharged is a good thing. It sends a signal that even the network's top personality isn't protected when sexual harassment is involved. Thus, if there is a sexist culture alive at Fox News, cold water was just thrown all over it.
My only problem with this whole sad story is why it took so long to happen. Apparently, the Murdoch's took a "see no evil, hear no evil" stance while all this was taking place over the years. For this reason, some fans of Fox News may elect to stop watching the network altogether. Just my opinion.

Another Reason For Obama To Hate Fox News
Last Fall, an internet-based polling firm, YouGov, asked people to tell them what source they trusted most to get any information about ObamaCare. The results are reflected in this graph:
Almost 2-to-1, people trusted Fox News over President Obama as a source of news about the health care law. Worse yet, the Democrats of Congress and the Obama Administration Officials only got 2% of the vote each as trusted informants. Also, all the other news agencies did horribly. This just further proves that Democrats are suffering from a severe lack of trust over ObamaCare; re-enforcing the belief that they will suffer another tsunami of losses in this coming Fall election.
It's not too surprising that this polling data got zero coverage in the mainstream media. What is surprising is that Fox News, itself, seemed not to be aware of this data. A search of their site produced no results.
Now, if you think YouGov is some obscure or right-wing, 2-bit operation, they were the only polling service that accurately predicted that Obama would win by exactly 2% of the vote in 2012.

How Liberals View Fox And Conservatives View MSNBC
To many liberals, Fox News should be thrown off the air. To them, Fox is a right wing news organization that constantly tells lies about the left. On the other hand, liberals just love MSNBC because that network continually leans favorably towards the left and progressive ideals.
But, do you ever hear conservatives saying that MSNBC should be taken off the airways? Not hardly. Instead, video clips and quotes from MSNBC have become a cottage industry, of sorts, for right wing blogs and commentary. Why would any conservative want to kill MSNBC. After all, MSNBC is literally the goose that lays so many beautiful golden goose-eggs for liberals. People like Chris Matthews, Rachael Maddow, Ed Schultz and (my favorite) Al 'Foot In Mouth' Sharpton provide endless hours of ridiculous commentary for those on the right to quote.
The same can't be said about liberals and Fox. They don't quote Fox as much because, really, they can't. Instead, they would prefer to kill the messenger; all together. There are left-wing petition drives all over the internet and Facebook, requesting that the FCC revoke Fox's license (even though, stupidly, they don't seem to know that Fox News needs no such license as a cable network). The left is also threatening advertisers with boycotts if they continue to advertise on Fox. Such campaigns were successful in getting Glenn Beck off of Fox.
The bottom line is that liberals are afraid of the truth and, subsequently, like all leftists, freedom of speech should be damned! That's why, in every leftist/socialist/communist country in the world, the freedom of press and speech is the first activity to be thrown out of the proverbial window.

It Was Never Ever Really About Shirley Sherrod
Many on the political left are slamming Andrew Breibart for initially posting a mere snippet of the entire Sherrod video; saying that the complete video shows her, not as racist toward a white farmer, but, instead, someone who had learned compassion from her own, prior actions. However, what is totally missing in that argument is the fact that the NAACP audience, in attendance for the Sherrod speech, could be heard snickering and laughing when they thought that they were actually hearing a story of how Sherrod was able to screw over a white farmer in her position of authority. That's the real story. The NAACP audience didn't groan or remain silent while listening to the Sherrod story. Instead, they laughed in support of the story that they thought they were hearing.
But, now, the political left and the mainstream media have intentionally decided to focus in on the pseudo-mistreatment of Sherrod by Fox News and Breitbart as a means of diverting attention away from the "laughter" that is clearly heard on the tape and what that laughter implies.
Breitbart held that video for months rather than airing it because he had his reservations about it. It was only after the NAACP passed a resolution condemning the Tea Party as a racist organization that Breitbart decided to release it. In doing so, his target was the NAACP members in that audience and not Sherrod. He was more interested in the crowd reaction to what Sherrod was saying than in exposing Sherrod, herself. That's the truth that the left wing media and pundits are now trying to bury by making it all about the mistreatment of Shirley Sherrod.

Obama, Again, Shows Another Unconstitutional Viewpoint
From Castro's Cuba, to Chavez' Venezuela, to China's Communist Regime, two common themes ares always there: The complete control of the press and the restriction of free speech. In countries where the government is usurping the will of the people, the suppression of opposing viewpoints is paramount for them to do what they need to do to take compete control of a country.
In a Saturday Commencement speech, Obama reinforced this kind of dictatorial, anti-opposing viewpoint attitude by criticizing talk radio (Rush Limbaugh?) and cable news (Fox News?) by saying: "You're coming of age in a 24/7 media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank all that high on the truth meter..." (Click here to See Full Story)
Let's face it, those "news outlets", that he is complaining about, are the only voices that are left to keep he and his Democratic cronies from completely taking control of the ruination of this country. The country has a helluva lot more friendly voices for Obama than it has in dissent against what he has been doing. On the news front, he already has the loving adoration of the Associated Press, New York Times and Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, NPR, MSNBC, and CNN; as well as the majority of other news outlets in the country. Yet, he seems to think that things are totally out of balance because the three small voices in our country --- Conservative Talk Radio, Fox News, and those right wing bloggers -- are gaining traction.
It isn't Fox or Russ Limbaugh that Obama is concerned about. He's concerned about the truth and that is something that the mainstream media has turned it's head away from; ever since Obama began running for office. Increasingly, America's ears are moving towards conservative media -- with ratings higher than ever -- because, simply, they don't believe Obama. People aren't as stupid as this President seems believe. He has an attitude that his way is the only way. Yet, in many ways, his way is not the American way; and, the people now know it. The polls show it. And, the growth in conservative media proves it.
So, if Obama is nervous about opposing views, he should look in the mirror. He and he, alone, is the catalyst that is moving this country towards conservative and opposing opinion. The Office of the President has the bully-pulpit; which still is the most powerful voice in America. But, it should be used for the truth and not be abused. But this President distorts the truth by making false and misleading statements and by using absurd and false examples like "a father and daughter going out for ice cream" and the Arizona cops will shake him down for his immigration papers. Or, that doctors remove tonsils and diabetic feet so they can make more money. That he will not hire lobbyists; and, he did. Or, close Guantanamo Bay in a year and, yet, it stills remains open. Or, his lie that children with pre-existing conditions are covered in his health care reform bill, or that the bill will reduce the deficit. And, the biggest lie of all: The stimulus package will keep unemployment under 8 percent!
Obviously, Obama might well have been talking about his own words when he remarked: "some of which don't always rank all that high on the truth meter." Fortunately, for America, we do have a "truth meter" and it is Fox News, Talk Radio, and all those right-wing bloggers.

What Obama And Bernie Madoff Have In Common
Bernie Madoff is a convicted cheat because he falsified rates of investment returns in order to draw more and more people into his ponzi scheme. In the very same vein, when it comes to saved and created jobs, Obama is being just as deceptive.
Increasingly, we are seeing that many of the jobs being claimed as saved and created by Obama's Stimulus package are complete fabrications. This morning, through an ABC News investigation, we are now learning that many of these jobs are in non-existent Congressional Districts. I'm surprised we don't have jobs reporting numbers from the Moon; or, Mars; or, even, the Crab Nebula.
I just wish that more people would see that we are being totally"schemed". Nothing that Obama has promised has been done; especially when it comes to the economy. Madoff went to jail for his lies. Hopefully, Obama will join that long list of one-term Presidents when he's up for reelection in 2012.
One last point -- totally consistent with the above deception. Two weeks ago the Drudge Report claimed that the President would grant an interview with Fox News. This was being reported despite the fact that, previously the White House has said that Fox had an agenda; wasn't really a news operation; and wouldn't get any interviews with Obama. Last week the White House reaffirmed this by flatly denying what Drudge had reported. Now, as of this morning, we find out that Major Garrett of Fox News has been granted an interview for tonight (Click to See Full Story: Major Garrett Among White House Correspondents to Interview Pres. Obama Today).
With Obama, we can't even get the straight story on something as simple as a news interview. Everything is political gaming! How can anyone trust what this White House says or promises?

Obama's War With FOX News Has A Sinister Objective, But Could Backfire
Since taking office, Barack Obama and his Administration have been at war with Fox News. In his latest volley, he likened Fox to "talk radio" because of its opinion oriented shows; with particular anger towards shows like Sean Hannity's America and the Glenn Beck Show. Last weekend, Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod both said, in what can only be an orchestrated effort, that Fox isn't really a news organization but, instead, they have a "perspective". And, then, Rahm specifically issued a veiled threat by saying that other news organizations shouldn't follow their lead. Axelrod added to that by saying the other news agencies shouldn't treat them like news organizations. In not so many words, they effectively gave notice to the news media to not follow Fox's lead in uncovering dirt about this Administration or there could be consequences.
However, this kind of commentary from people like Axelrod, Emanuel, and their boss, Obama, are just off the mark. Every one of the major television news organizations is involved in some kind of "opinion" show. CBS has "60 Minutes" and NBC has "Dateline". The Beck and Hannity shows on Fox are more than offset by MSNBC with their left-wing shows with people like Ed Shultz, Chris Mathews, Keith Olbermann, and Rachel Maddow. MSNBC also has it's token conservative with Joe Scarborough. And, what about semi-conservative Lou Dobbs on CNN? Certainly, NBC's business network, CNBC, has been quite over the top against Obama's economic programs with certain hosts, guest hosts, and guest commentators. What's to stop Obama and his thugs from going after these news groups, also, if they decide that these news organizations, too, are being too FOX-like in their reporting?
The commentaries that I have heard with regard to this silly war with Fox have ranged from Obama being "Nixonian" to Obama being just plain "immature". However, I believe this battle with Fox is just the start of a larger and more sinister war to contain all of this nation's news organizations. I believe the Obama Administration wants to punish Fox and, then, use them as an example to all the other news organizations to stay in line. This is the Chicago way. For example, a Chicago mob loan shark will cut off a finger or break a leg of a deadbeat as an example to all the others who might think about not paying back the money they owe.
But, I think this tactic is starting to backfire. Thursday, the White House tried to exclude Fox from a pool interview with Kenneth Feinberg and his plan for executive pay compensation. But in an "all for one and one for all moment", all the other news agencies stood with Fox by saying that if Fox was to be excluded from the Feinberg interview then, there will be no interview by any of them. The White House then had to back off.
When you think about it, the White House, by implying that Fox isn't on board with them, is really saying just the opposite about all the other news organizations. In essence, they are implying that CBS, ABC, NBC and CNN are all in the bag for Obama. Further implying that these news agencies have become "state-run and state-controlled"; and, I believe that all of this nation's news groups are becoming offended by that implication. Just watch this exchange by Chip Reid and Helen Thomas with Robert Gibbs over a pending Town Hall Meeting in July:
Obama and his Chicago gang should watch out. Over the years, it has been the gumshoes of the fourth estate that have brought down many a President and key members of their Administrations. It was the Wall Street Journal and their article in July of 1922 that opened the door to the Teapot Dome Scandal. It was the Washington Post with Woodward and Bernstein who took out Nixon over Watergate. And, don't forget that that it was Newsweek that broke the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal.
Obama just might find out that this war with Fox could be his Waterloo; especially if the other news groups decide to turn on him, too. The truth about Obama is out there; and, it has been largely ignored. With all his major programs failing and his poll numbers falling, Obama is increasingly becoming a target for the press. I think that Obama would be well advised not to keep pushing because those who were once friendly might actually start exposing his real faults.

The ACORN and Van Jones Stories Exposes a Real Media Bias
In a recent poll taken by Pew Research, the mainstream media managed to achieve new lows in public trust.
On accuracy in reporting, the opinion of our media fell to an unbelievable 29%.
On the fairness in dealing with all sides of an issue, the number was even more telling with only 18% of those being interviewed giving a favorable rating to the media.
(Click to the Chart from Pew's Website)
I find it interesting that this poll came out at nearly the same time when almost every news agency failed to at least mention the brewing controversy over ACORN. Even before that, the mainstream media completely ignored the background bio on that Obama radical, Van Jones. Instead, the only major media source to expose those facts was Fox News.
In effect, both of these stories had clear ties to Barack Obama and, under normal circumstances, would have been an explosive, paper-selling, front-page revelation. But, obviously, profits, viewership and subscription sales are less important than maintaining this President's image. And, this is why our American media isn't to be trusted with giving us the news.
The contrast in how the media treated George W. Bush and how they are now handling Barack Obama couldn't be clearer. If Bush was to have been seen as having the same kind of ties to someone like Van Jones or to a group like ACORN, you had to know that the New York Times would have spared no ink on those topics. For them, they would have figuratively used it as a means of "serial" killing the Bush Presidency with daily stories on the topic.
I am quite sure that there are thousands, if not millions, of Americans who are totally clueless on both the Van Jones and ACORN stories because they only read the New York Times, L.A. Times, or other biased newspapers and/or they only watch NBC, CBS, ABC, or MSNBC or CNN to get their news.
Today, the mainstream newspapers are near bankruptcy in almost every major city. The network news, too, is sliding in their viewership. Yet, they persist in their left-wing bias towards reporting the news. I had a high school teacher who'd often use the expression "wake up and smell the coffee" when somebody in class was acting a little dopey. Maybe our mainstream media should, before it is too late, "wake up up and smell the coffee" too. That's because, if they don't, they'll wind up in smelling soup in the soup lines and wishing they would have smelled the coffee before their businesses went completely under!

No Fox In This Chicken's House
On Sunday, Obama will, once again, try to sell his health care reform plan by appearing on five Sunday network news shows. Of course, he'll be with those always Obama-loving networks such as NBC with Meet the Press; CBS with Face the Nation; and, ABC with This Week with George Stephanopoulos. He'll even do CNN and Univision.
But, obviously missing is any Fox show such as that network's Sunday news show, Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace. Apparently, this President isn't even big enough to take on his detractors. Even though, it would be hard to call Fox News Sunday's host, Chris Wallace, some kind of hard hitting right-winger.
Instead, Obama always takes the bike path rather than any off-road challenge.
If he thinks that he's punishing Fox by excluding Fox, he only has to look at what happened to Van Jones and ACORN to see how powerful Fox has become.
It would be smart for this President to use the power of Fox and not try to be so childish and small minded as to run away from it. If he can't handle Fox, how is he going to deal with enemies such as Iran, North Korea, etc? Is Obama going to spend his next 3 years only dealing with people, groups, and nations who are completely in love with him? Is that what we expect from someone who holds the most powerful position in the world?

Van Jones Exposes The Real Problem With Czars
This whole flap about Van Jones (Click to See This Commentary/Story: "Who to credit for recruiting vetting Van Jones, Obama's 'Green Jobs Czar'? ") clearly shows why Obama has appointed so many czars. It was very intentional. It all has to do with the fact that Van Jones and many of the others designated as czars by Barack Obama would never have made it through the normal congressional approval process for any cabinet or under-secretary positions. They all have too many skeletons in their closets and many have absolutely radical and anti-American views.
Quite frankly, these appointees collectively provide a "true insight" into the psyche and truly radical opinions of this President. From all that I have either read, watched, or heard, I can only assume that, like William Ayers and Reverend Wright, Barack Obama surely knew of these people's pasts and their radical beliefs; and, he clearly sought out their advice. There appears to be very few degrees of separation among any of them.
Merely go to Barack Obama's own book, "Dreams From My Father", and listen to the following words to know this to be true:
Don't just take this as truth from me or Glenn Beck or Fox News. Google it for yourself. Its not hard to find.
Lastly, I think Van Jones will be cut loose by Tuesday. I don't think Obama wants to go into his Wednesday speech before a joint session of Congress with that particular boat anchor around his legs. Van Jones will have be thrown under the same bus that he had to throw Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers under. Now counting three radicals with, I'll bet, more to come!

Obama's Thuggery Tactic Of Calling People Out
If you haven't noticed yet, Obama seems to be using the following tactic to disparage his detractors or certain people or groups that he doesn't like.
First, he publicly calls them out by name. It could be Rush Limbaugh; or, greedy Wall street; or, AIG; or the selfish bondholders at GM; or, most recently, the Fox News Channel.
Then, in doing so he attempts to demonize them and turn public opinion against the named entity. In the case of AIG, the SEIU union members and ACORN followed his lead and actually picketed executive's homes to push public opinion against those people. That stunt was the equivalent of a public flogging.
When Joe the Plumber criticized his higher tax plan, Joe got the "flogging" treatment from every left wing entity in America; including the American media. Similarly, Sarah Palin was compared to a "pig with lipstick" and the left wingers, like Letterman, have continued to attack her, even as of today, in a lemming-like fashion; all for their anointed one, Barack Obama.
In the last week Obama has heavily gone after Fox News. In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that a certain news channel spent all their time criticizing him. During last night's Radio and Television Correspondence Association dinner, he again singled out Fox by saying that he, like Oprah, gave everybody a car company. But, for Fox, he said he gave them AIG. In that joke, he attacked two groups: Fox and AIG.
In the case of Fox, Obama cannot tolerate any dissent. It is sort of like saying: "Though shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain." On top of the calling out of Fox News, he has pulled back his Administration and staff from being interviewed by Fox. The purpose of this kind of behavior by Obama is to force Fox to get in line. And, if they don't, there won't be anymore interviews. Apparently, this thug, Obama, doesn't consider himself the President of all the people. Just the ones he likes.
Obama doesn't just use this tactic on Americans and American entities that he has no use for, he uses it against other countries and their leaders. Recently, he purposely and publicly rejected a dinner invitation with the French President, Nicholas Sarkozy (See Full Story). This was an intentional snub and was done in retaliation to comments that Sarkozy made within the last few weeks.
Obama is devotee' of Saul Alinsky: the founder of Community Organizing groups like ACORN. When it came to opponents he espoused the following serious tactics:
Make no mistake, Obama is using Chicago-style thuggery politics. He is using ACORN and Saul Alinksy tactics. In doing so, he is stomping all over the freedom of speech in this country. In essence, he is a 'Thug'!
That, to me, makes him less presidential and, probably, the most petty President we have ever had. In support of this pettiness, think about this. Fox News, at best, gets about 3 to 3-1/2 million viewers for any given time slot during the day. This is only 1 percent of all the people in this country. Combined, the Obama networks of ABC, CBS, and NBC get over 15 million viewers each night while they are hyping their new god, Barack. Fox, like Rush Limbaugh, are not big players on the media stage of this country. That's why Barack's attacks are truly petty. It is like fretting over a single leaf that has fallen from a tree! I think Barry would better serve himself by worrying about the increasing loss of job approval points among those Republicans and Independents who might have voted for him. Also, he should start to worry about those previously dedicated Democrats who are now openly criticizing him like Bill Maher, Camille Paglia, Whoopie Goldberg, and so many others.
