If President Obama gets his way, amnesty to illegal aliens will include the issuance of Social Security numbers.
This is just plain wrong. A Social Security number gives them access to all too many federal and state services as benefits including the ability to easily register to vote, which would be a federal crime. Under the Motor Voter law anyone with a valid Social Security number can register to vote anytime they apply for or renew a driver's license or sign up for public assistance. No proof of citizenship is required. A Social Security card also allows them to file a tax return and get a refund under the Earned Income Tax Credit that is in excess of any taxes they many have paid and/or may have been refunded.
None of these things are afforded to legal foreign residents who live and pay taxes in this country because they typically don't get Social Security numbers, they get an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). The ITIN looks exactly like a Social Security number but the lead digit is a "9", which serves as a red flag that the person holding that number is a guest in this country and not a citizen. The ITIN serves the purposes of collecting taxes and Social Security/Medicare payroll taxes (FICA, but negates the ability of the holder to file for an Earned Income Tax Credit refund.
Congress should act now to insure that, if Obama is allowed to give amnesty to illegals, they are only eligible for Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers starting with the digit "9". Otherwise, a new study has shown, that many illegals could file tax returns for the last 4-years and get up to $35,000 in retroactively paid Earned Income Tax Credits.

The Financial Consequences of Amnesty For 4.5 Million Illegals
Just recently, the White House admitted that President Obama's executive action giving illegal immigrants permanent residency, would also give them Social Security and Medicare benefits. In defense of this, they are claiming that this will actually benefit programs like Social Security because these people will now be paying payroll taxes in support of those programs. This in turn, will help balance out our aging population
Well, on the surface that all sounds great. However, a majority of those who would benefit from Obama's executive order can't speak English; have few, if any, high level skills and little education. Many are functionally illiterate in their own language, and as a result, are incapable of learning English. Over their entire lifetimes they will only be able to work in low level jobs. Taking all this into consideration, you have to understand that the President will be creating a large and permanent underclass. In this country, those kinds of people will always take more from the government than they put in.
Take, for example, paying taxes. Only 53% of all Americans pay any federal income tax. However, most of those who make up the remaining 47% -- especially those who have low incomes -- actually get money back from the government for having children and by qualifying for Earned Income Tax credit. So, if most of these people are low income workers, what benefit are they going to be to our tax system when they don't pay income taxes?
Then, there's Medicare and Social Security. The White House claims that these programs will only be strengthened by having them pay into the Federal Insurance Compensation Act (FICA) fund (the payroll tax that collects the funds needed to support Medicare and Social Security). Of course that would be true only if they weren't so far skewed to the low income side of the equation.
You see, the FICA tax is a fixed percentage tax on your gross wages. The amount paid diminishes with low income individuals; meaning that he middle class and the upper middle class will foot the bill for most of the future payouts. Thus, when a low income worker goes on Medicare, he/she receives the same benefit as everyone else; while having paid relatively little into the system. The same is also true with Social Security. Therefore instead of strengthening these two benefit programs, these newly minted beneficiaries are only going to help speed them toward insolvency. If you don't think this isn't already a problem, just look at this chart on Social Security:
Of course, this projected insolvency was calculated before Obama's action on immigration. There might be a short term increase in funding from these younger workers paying into the system, and thus, delaying insolvency. But, when they do start retiring, the impact on will be significant and rapid because too few dollars were added to the fund to pay for their benefits.
In my opinion, the long-term survivability of the benefits to our nation's seniors is being put at risk so this President can garner future Hispanic votes for Democrats. Similarly, this nation's debt will only increase as we payout an increasing number of tax dollars in Earned Income Tax Credit refunds. This is why there should have been a fully explored and debated reform of immigration through Congressional means. Instead, we have another go-it-alone action that will have far reaching consequences; long after Obama is out of office. Then some other President or Congress will be saddled with the cleanup.

Obama's Executive Order On Amnesty Is M.I.A.
Supposedly, just after the election, President Obama issued an executive order to give 4.5 million illegal immigrants amnesty. Then, there was this headline on the Drudge Report: "Obama DID NOT SIGN any executive orders implementing amnesty?" When you click on that link it takes you to a World Net Daily (WND) story titled: "Amnesty shocker! The secret behind Obama's 'order'."
What that story indicates is that Obama never issued an executive order on amnesty. Instead (and, even more lawless), His Secretary of Homeland Security, Jeh Johnson, issued a memorandum that authorized the unconstitutional misappropriation of funds in order to fund the hiring of agents to process illegals and add them to the work visas or green card rolls.
Proof of this is supported by the President's own White House Briefing log on executive orders, where the last order authorized by him was on October 17; three weeks "before" the election.
With this revelation, it appears that Obama's move on immigration can easily be brought down in Federal Court because the appropriation of funds is the sole responsibility of Congress. Further, any misappropriation of Federal funds is a crime under Federal law. So, is it possible that Jeh Johnson, a lawyer, will wind up in cuffs over this?
The real question is: Why is Obama playing this game with immigration by claiming executive action?

Why Few Of Those 4.5 Million Immigrants Will Get Amnesty
OK. President Obama has proclaimed that 4.5 million illegal immigrants will get amnesty.
So, what now?
Well, probably very little will happen before a new President is elected in 2016 with the potential of nullifying Obama's action with his/her own executive order. This is because our immigrant processing is already behind by at least 2 years.
In fact, back in July, 40,000 immigrants filed a federal lawsuit because they had been waiting for up to 2 years simply to get interviewed so that the processing of their asylum requests could even begin. If our immigration service doesn't have enough staff to start processing 40,000 requests, how can they handle 100 times that amount and, fulfill the daunting task of verifying their dates of entry along with verifying that their children are U.S. born? In addition, this must be done with people who, in most cases, speak little or no English. A fact that only slows things down even further because an interpreter or bilingual agent will be needed to facilitate the process.
Essentially, Obama's amnesty proclamation is in name only and impractical to implement without any substantial increases in both budget and staffing.
But, the President doesn't really care that these people won't get processed.
All that he cares about is the pro-Hispanic and pro-Latino politics of his action. Politics which are intended to enhance the Democrats standing among this minority group, and the politics of trying to show Republicans as obstructionists because of any attempts they may make to reverse the order. It is also quite possible that the timing of this has to do with the fact that January is likely to kickoff two years of announced campaigning for the presidency, and President Obama is most likely hoping that the Republican candidates will all denounce his amnesty order and therefore, inflame Latinos against them and any others in their party. However, this action may have done the opposite. A recent poll shows that 37% of Latinos, and nearly half of all Americans disapprove of his order on immigration.

Obama's Choice For Illegals: Unemployment In Exchange For Amnesty?
By all accounts, President Obama's executive order will give at least 4.5 million illegals with U.S. born children permanent and legal residency through the existing green card system. As a result they will no longer have to work in the shadows; constantly in fear of deportation.
What the executive action ignores is the fact that many employers, not all, hire illegal workers because they will accept low wages, work hard, work long hours and, more importantly, won't complain about either their pay or their working conditions. In return, there is also an implied agreement that the employer won't turn them in to immigration authorities, unless of course, they give them a reason to do so.
So, what happens when the fear of deportation is taken away by executive action?
First of all, you need to understand that many of these people can't speak or read English. Some are unable to read in their native language as well, being illiterate and having limited job skills. So, if it weren't for the fact that employers can get away with paying low wages, these people would normally be unemployable. And, that's exactly what Obama's executive action may do.
After becoming legal residents with their green cards in hand, those once-illegals must be lawfully paid at least the minimum wage or the prevailing wage for the kind of work being done. Thus, the low pay advantage goes away. Also, their newly found status means that they no longer have to fear exposure and possible deportation; so, they are free to complain about salary, working conditions, and long hours. In essence, they will become no different than any other U.S. born worker.
Ultimately, employers will begin to hire better educated, English speaking, literate Americans over the former illegals. What we will then wind up with is some number (possibly in the millions) of unemployable workers who will, because of their legal status, be wards of the state; living off of welfare and other poverty benefits.

Amnesty for 4.5 Million Illegals? Why the Rush?
According to documents obtained by Fox News, Obama will issue an executive order that will effectively give amnesty to the 4.5 million illegals who have children that were born in the United States.
As a result of this action, illegals will be given valid social security numbers and permanent residency green cards; thus bypassing all the normal procedures that most "legal" immigrants would have to go through to achieve a similar status.
At the same time, the issuance of green cards gives them the right to become a citizen after 5 years of residency; only 3 years if the spouse is already a citizen. That's the law, but Obama and the Democrats aren't going to tell us that. They're just hoping that those 4.5 million will ultimately become voting Democrats in just 5 years. Of course, there's a real question as to whether or not the President even has the right to override the existing laws by allowing permanent residency and the pathway to citizenship to those who have previously violated our immigration laws and who are fraudulently using fake Social Security cards and other I.D.'s. After all, the violation of our laws, criminal activity, and fraud are the primary reasons green cards can be revoked. Yet, in this case, Obama seems to think these are all reasons to issue them.
So, we're also supposed to believe that this Administration -- the one that took 3 years to build a website and enroll 8 million people in health insurance -- is even capable of accurately verifying and issuing green cards to 4.5 million people. My guess is that they won't even be verifying status under the executive action and, as such, the number of people legalized will be a lot higher; meaning that the 4.5 million may be just another lie. Why else would his Administration recently bid on a contract to supply 34 million new blank green cards in the next five years; with an initial order of 9 million next year. A surprising number when less than 400,000 are normally issued each year.
The other thing we won't be told about is that immigrants holding green cards become immediately eligible for public assistance benefits from the States and the Federal government. For sure, the issued Social Security cards will make them eligible for that benefit and, perhaps, Medicare also. Both which they may or may not have paid into while they held an illegal status. And, since many of those living here illegally are below the poverty level, expect taxpayer funded benefits to rise significantly. Of course this reality will also not be shared with us, and when asked about it, I suspect that Obama and Democrats will either skirt the issue or simply, once again, lie.
Much of what I've written above is the "why" Obama can't wait on immigration. He knows that, if he waits for the reform to come out of the new Republican Congress, there will be all kinds of restrictions and, more importantly, there won't be any 3-year or 5-year path to citizenship that his green card plot assures. As a result, Democrats won't be able to count on the millions of newly minted voters that they expect his order to create. Instead, the Republican Congress is expected to pass a bill that would require illegals to pay a fine, learn English, and go to the back of line for citizenship.
The pure fact that the President is rushing to act on this is a sure tip off that there's a lot he doesn't want us to know about it Similar to most of what he has already done in the past 6 years.

He knows that, if he waits for the reform to come out of the new Republican Congress, there will be all kinds of restrictions and, more importantly, there won't be any 3-year or 5-year path to citizenship that his green card plot assures. As a result, Democrats won't be able to count on the millions of newly minted voters that they expect his order to create. Instead, the Republican Congress is expected to pass a bill that would require illegals to pay a fine, learn English, and go to the back of line for citizenship.
The pure fact that the President is rushing to act on this is a sure tip off that there's a lot he doesn't want us to know about it Similar to most of what he has already done in the past 6 years.

Obama's Executive Order To Give Illegals Amnesty May Backfire On Democrats In The Fall
President Obama and the Democrats feel they are on the winning side of immigration reform; and, they believe that Republican inaction on the issue will only cause losses for them in the Fall. That belief is based on recent polling of a cross-section of all Americans. In addition, it now appears that Obama may sign an executive order which could give as many as 5 million of the 11 million illegal aliens some form of amnesty. Of course this comes after more than 5-1/2 years of doing nothing. Proving again that the President's only reason for this action is the upcoming mid-term elections.
The problem with Obama doing this on his own is that, while American's want reform, the last thing they want is amnesty. In fact, a July 18-20 CNN/ORC poll showed that 51% (35% Democrats, 49% Independents, and 76% Republicans) wanted the most extreme level of reform, with not only the border being shutdown but with people being deported. This is up 41% from a similar January 2014 poll. Even Democrats have moved towards supporting deportation, with their number going up from 27% in January; indicating that the current flow of unaccompanied children has soured the entire country on any easing of access to our southern border.
Even worse, in a 2013 Latin Opinion Poll, most Hispanics (60%) in this country don't want amnesty given unless the border is shored up, and they also favor increased enforcement. 56% said illegals shouldn't get any Federal benefits and also, of those polled, 64% said e-Verified should be used to screen illegal immigrants when applying for work.
So, if Obama does provide amnesty to nearly half of all the illegals, it just might backfire on him. Instead of solidifying the Democrat/Hispanic vote, it may in fact cause an angered and increased turnout against Democrats. Even by Hispanics. Just in the same way that the passage of ObamaCare swung the House of Representatives from Democrat to Republican control in 2010. This time, the Senate would fall victim of the President's lawless, executive order. Of course, this is just my opinion.

Michele Bachmann Will Never Learn
First, she attacked Rick Perry over his HPV vaccination program in Texas. I guess she thought it would somehow elevate her in the race while, at the same time, dethrone Rick Perry -- the then-leader at the time. Instead, just the opposite happened: She fell further while Perry remained ahead of the pack. It wasn't until Perry did himself in that his lead evaporated.
Now, with Newt Gingrich leading, Bachmann is at it again. Since last week's debate, she has spent day after day attacking Newt on his immigration stance. She's acting like a gossip who thinks people will like her because she's able to dish the dirt on someone else. But, most people don't like "gossipers".
To me -- and I think to a lot of people -- this kind of tactic is not Presidential. It's ugly and it does nothing to increase the value of her stock. It only cheapens it.
