The Saudi's Are Responsible for 9/11

Recently, there has been a lot of chatter about 28 missing pages in the Congressional Report on 9/11.  The speculation is that those pages would reveal that Saudi Arabia financed the attack and that it has been intentionally hidden by both the Bush and Obama Administrations so as to not offend the Saudis.

However, you don't need those missing pages to know that the Saudi's have been financing terrorism for decades through their funding of Madrasas schools around the world that teach a type of fundamental Islam called Wahhabism.  A prime source of intolerance and terrorist beliefs.  It's time the world wakes up to that reality.  No matter how much oil that country has.

What's Really Behind The December 23rd Protests In New York City

The graphic you see above was posted on a website of the organizers of the December 23rd protest march down New York City's 5th Avenue.  The organizers in this case were a group of individuals that call themselves the A.N.S.W.E.R Coalition.  The acronym A.N.S.W.E.R stands for Act Now to Stop War and End Racism. 

Now, while ending wars and stopping racism sounds like truly noble endeavors, the real reason this group exists is to try and divide Americans over issues such as race and war; and, in doing so, attempt to destroy the country as we know it.  The people who founded this group did so right after 9/11 and before we had even talked of invading Afghanistan.  Their motives were less about us going to war over 9/11 and more about the fact that we deserved what we got; and, as such, the people responsible for the horror of that day should not be punished with war.  The "coalition" they represent is pretty much pro-socialism and anti-capitalism;  pro-Palestinian/Muslim/Arab and anti-Israel; and, they all support the destruction of this capitalist society.  That is exactly why they chose 5th Avenue to march in protest.  5th Avenue is arguably the most pricey and prestigious street in the United States with some of the most expensive store fronts and shops in the world.  It symbolizes everything these people think is wrong with our country.  Specifically, wealth and capitalism.

So, whether or not the people marching in that protest knew it or not, they were participating in an event that was designed to fracture and weaken this country.  An attempt to pit Americans against the police.  To divide blacks against whites and the police.  And, for those who participated in that protest not knowing what A.N.S.W.E.R is all about, there's one name for them: Useful Idiots.

One last thing.  For those who think capitalism is bad and socialism good, ask yourself why there are only 4 remaining socialist countries in the world: Vietnam, Laos, North Korean, and Cuba.  Even China, which at one time was a hardcore communist nation, has evolved into a more and more capitalistic society by the day.   Gone are all the former union of Soviet satellites that were once socialist/communist because the way of socialism is oppressive and it literally breaks the human spirit of free will.

Americans Don't Share Feinstein's (and Obama's) Outrage Over CIA Torture

Democrats are still trying to understand why they lost so big in November's elections.   I think the answer is simple:  Americans don't share the extreme liberal viewpoints of the Democrat party.

A perfect example, was the partisan Torture Report that Senator Dianne Feinstein  released a week ago.  In three new polls, Americans say that what the CIA did was necessary when put in the context of 9/11. 

In a PEW poll, 51% say torture was justified and only 43% thought the report should have been released.

A Washington Post/ABC poll showed an even more dramatic difference with 59% in support of the CIA interrogations; while only 31% agreed with Feinstein.  Then, an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found that just 28% believed that the interrogations "went too far and were wrong."  On the other hand, 51% supported what was done.

Lastly, the NJ.com (New Jersey.com) website has been conducting an online poll. While the voting is a small sample and multiple votes are possible, it does show that those being polled don't think that it was appropriate for Feinstein to have released the report:

Americans get it.  Given what happened on 9/11, our government should have done everything possible, within reason, to protect us, and in the minds of most Americans, enhanced interrogations were within reason.

Torture Under Clinton Was Far Worse Than Under Bush

Senator Dianne Feinstein has released her Democrat-staff-written report on CIA torture during the George W. Bush years following 9/11.  In that report, we will find that the CIA used various forms of "psychological" interrogation techniques -- which Feinstein calls torture -- such as water boarding; which makes the person feel that they are drowning, when in fact, they are not, or, we see that we used various forms of sleep deprivation.

But, nowhere in that report will you find extreme forms of physical torture used like those seen in other countries where people are left bloodied by constant blows, have their bones broken, have certain parts of their bodies electrocuted, or have fingers and toes cut off.

As a country, we don't torture people in those ways. We've signed both the Geneva and UN Conventions that ban tortured interrogations on any prisoners or prisoners of war.

However, other countries are well versed in those physical torture techniques and, there is nothing in either the Geneva or UN Conventions that prevent us from using those countries to obtain information by those means that we, ourselves, are prevented from using.

That is why President Bill Clinton authorized the CIA to use something called "extraordinary rendition" to transfer abducted enemies-of-the-U.S. to countries who practiced true physical torture.  In this way, America could (theoretically) keep its hands clean in the process.  When Bush took office, that practice was stopped and the CIA used "enhanced interrogation" techniques at American facilities.  Techniques that were well restrained in comparison to what Bill Clinton authorized and which the Bush Administration felt were acceptable under previously signed Conventions.

Another thing that Feinstein doesn't seem remember is the fact Clinton's Attorney General, Janet Reno, used sleep deprivation against the Branch Dividians in Waco, Texas.  Yes, that's right Texas.  For days, loud music and high intensity spotlights were used to deprive the Dividians of sleep.

It is interesting that Dianne Feinstein solely focused on the Bush years, and never once, thought of  including the Clinton years in her report, when the torture process was totally unrestrained. 

Lastly, Senator Feinstein claims the interrogation techniques used were ineffective because they yielded false information that was purely being given to the CIA interrogators in order to stop what she calls torture.  Really?  Does anyone really think our CIA was so stupid to think that people wouldn't attempt to lie to them during an interrogation?  Everything that was learned had to be verifiable.  This was especially true when enhanced interrogation techniques lead to the disclosure of Bin Laden's personal courier's name.  It was the courier's house that Bin Laden was staying in when he was killed by our Special Forces team.  Also, if enhanced interrogation was so ineffective, why did the CIA continue to use it for six years after 9/11?

Does Obama Even Remember 9/11?

In speech after speech, Barack Obama keeps blaming George Bush for his own economic and deficit woes.  The way he tells it, Bush took a Clinton surplus and turned it into a deficit by his spending on two wars, and because the Bush tax cuts (for the rich) made it so.

What is really infuriating about Obama's claim (along with many Democrats) is that it completely ignores why there was one of those wars and an increase in deficit spending, and why the tax cuts were even passed into law.  By blaming Bush for these problems, Obama is completely ignoring the impact of 9/11.

Besides the fact that 9/11 forced us to go to war in Afghanistan, that attack on the twin towers sent this country into a tailspin.  People stopped flying; especially to travel locations.  They were scared. Unemployment zoomed in travel destinations such as Las Vegas, Orlando, and Hawaii.  The economy suffered and tax revenues fell; resulting in budget deficits.

On top of that, Federal spending skyrocketed; further causing budget deficits to increase.  President Obama conveniently forgets that the Department of Homeland Security and the hiring of thousands of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) airport screeners arose from the ashes of 9/11.  Billions more were spent on screening devices and baggage scanning systems.  Aircraft cockpit doors were made entry proof.  Billions were spent in beefing up federal buildings in the U.S. and around the world to protect them from either drive up or drive into car bombings and/or walk-in terrorist bombers.   And, billions more were spent on container x-ray devices at every U.S. seaport of entry.

Lastly, the Bush Tax Cuts were passed into law in 2003 because 9/11 had literally slowed the economy to a snail's pace.  In fact, from 2001 to 2003, the economy only grew by an anemic 7.7%; when, in fact, a growth of 18% or more would have have normally been expected.  After the tax cuts became law, the economy recovered; increasing by 26% from 2004 until the the recession hit in 2007.

Obama's claims are truly being taken out of context.  And, don't expect the mainstream media to set the record straight!

Paul Krugman's Shameful Political Attack And Rewrite of History

By now, most of the readers of yesterday's Drudge Report are aware that a columnist for the New York Times, Paul Krugman, wrote the following blog entry and published it just prior to the time of day when the first World Trade Center tower was attacked on 9/11/2011:

The Years of Shame

Is it just me, or are the 9/11 commemorations oddly subdued?

Actually, I don’t think it’s me, and it’s not really that odd.

What happened after 9/11 — and I think even people on the right know this, whether they admit it or not — was deeply shameful. Te atrocity should have been a unifying event, but instead it became a wedge issue. Fake heroes like Bernie Kerik, Rudy Giuliani, and, yes, George W. Bush raced to cash in on the horror. And then the attack was used to justify an unrelated war the neocons wanted to fight, for all the wrong reasons.

A lot of other people behaved badly. How many of our professional pundits — people who should have understood very well what was happening — took the easy way out, turning a blind eye to the corruption and lending their support to the hijacking of the atrocity?

The memory of 9/11 has been irrevocably poisoned; it has become an occasion for shame. And in its heart, the nation knows it.

I’m not going to allow comments on this post, for obvious reasons.

Aside from the fact that this criticism of Bush, Giuliani, and Kerik are so politically motivated and so shamefully out of place on a day of solemn remembrance, it is also factually wrong. Krugman would have you believe that the events of 9/11 were something that Bush and other neocons had just been eagerly awaiting: An excuse to go to war. But, this is a pure rewrite of history. Simply, the Afghanistan War would have never happened if the Taliban had complied with George W. Bush's demand that they turn over Osama Bin Laden and stop harboring Al Qaeda. That's the reality that Krugman's blog entry seems to have conveniently and so "liberal-mindedly" forgotten.

As far as being fake heroes, I think Bush, Giuliani, or Kerik would "all" admit that the heroes of that day were those who lost their lives and those who saved the lives of others; and, not themselves. What these men did, following 9/11, was to simply do their jobs to protect the citizens of this country. Each was an extremely strong and competent leader at a time of intensely wrenching turmoil in our history. A fact that we can all be thankful for and a fact that, apparently, Krugman doesn't seem to comprehend.

Bin Laden's Failed 9/11 Plot

On this day, ten years ago, 19 hijackers killed nearly 3000 Americans in what, I am quite sure, Osama Bin Laden thought to be his crowning victory for Al Qaeda. But, did the United States cower as a result of that attack? Did we crumble as an economy? No. We strengthened against Al Qaeda and for that reason Bin Laden's 911 attack was a tactical failure.

Osama Bin Laden's attack on America has resulted in more than one million Muslim deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iraq; and, in Bin Laden's own death as the feeble-looking disheveled rat that he really was. Bin Laden did his faith and his people no favors on 9/11. Instead, he inflicted more damage to millions of Muslims; along with their homes, their businesses, and their homelands.

I would hope and pray that this very costly lesson will keep Al Qaeda, or anyone else, from ever again committing an act of mass terrorism on U.S. soil.

For Obama, KSM Is Simply Collateral To Going After Bush And His Administration

This decision to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) and four other 9/11 suspects in a Federal criminal court in New York is just ridiculous.

These people aren't like bank robbers or typical criminals that would be convicted by a jury trial in America. The manner of evidence collection against these people is completely different than that in a typical CSI-type investigation. Much of what was done was through highly sensitive and secret means and should not be exposed to the light of day in a Federal court. Also, because of the manner of arrest, the chain of custody of evidence, and interrogation techniques, its highly possible that much of the evidence against them could be thrown out of court. KSM's Miranda rights and the violation of them is one glaring example. The issue of when he was allowed to have access to an attorney could play a big part in whether or not any confessions on his part are even admissible. For that reason, there is an extreme risk that a mistrial could be declared, and that all or some of these 9/11 perpetrators could be set free. And, with enough evidence found not to inadmissible, these people could easily be found to be not guilty.

Even our own domestic court system understands that certain cases require specialized treatment. That's why we have criminal cases tried in a criminal court system. The disposition of children is handled in a Family Court environment. We also have Civil, Traffice and Divorce court settings for those specialized types of trials. This is why a specialized environment like a Military Tribunal is more appropriate for the kind of trial involving the 9/11 suspects. These courts have the means to handle the sensitive top secret evidence collection and are not all bound up with issues of civil and criminal issues like Miranda rights.

Like everything else, Obama is playing to his lefty base. He knows that by trying these cases in an open Federal court, the Bush Administration will be under trial. That, to him, is more important than if KSM and his collaborators go free. Obama is the consummate politician who is hell bent on using the power of his office to discredit the opposing political party. He doesn't care if the United States gets marginalized in that process. That is what complete ideologues do!

A Day of Rejoicing For Some

While most Americans are in deep reverence of this 11th day of September, there are those in the world who are rejoicing over the events that took place on this day in 2001. They are those who are proud of what happened to America, eight years ago. And, on this day of remembrance, we should never forget that.

On that day that the twin towers were toppled, our innocence about being attacked on our own soil was taken from us. 9/11 cost America and Americans a lot. Not only were there many lives lost; but, also, our everyday lives were changed for ever. Our tradition of freedoms was stolen from us. Since 9/11, we have been constantly looking over our shoulders in the concern that something else, like 9/11, will happen again. Trillions of dollars have been spent to protect us all. And, for that very reason, Al Qaeda scored a second victory against America.

Al Qaeda is not gone and we should never become complacent. Even if we catch Osama Bin Laden, there are more than enough haters of America who are waiting in that long line to take Bin Laden's place. I think that we should all fear that Al Qaeda or the Taliban might link up with some rogue state that has nuclear weaponry. That is why stopping Iran's intention of becoming a nuclear power is so important.

We have been safe for 8 years and, I would hope, we can stay safe for 8 more; and, for as long as Al Qaeda still exists. It is good that we remember this day. But, it is more important that we never stop learning from this day. Because, to do so, would be at our own peril.

On the Secret CIA/Cheney Plan, the Democrats Are The One's Looking Bad!

Right now, there's a big flap on Capitol Hill about a secret plan within the CIA that was intended to hunt down and kill or assassinate Al Qaeda leaders. Apparently, Dick Cheney is at the heart of this flap because he advised the CIA to develop the plan and keep it secret (See Full Story). All indications are that this plan was never really implemented. Now, the Congressional Democrats are all upset because they weren't ever advised of this supposedly "phantom" program.

I don't know about you but, I would have thought that a plan to assassinate Al Qaeda leadership was a "given" following 9/11. Did Congress actually think that such a plan wasn't on the table in the wake of those murderous attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon building? How stupid are these people who call themselves members of our Congress? Even if the CIA didn't tell them, wouldn't they, as concerned leaders of our country, ask if the CIA had formulated any plans to hunt down Al Qaeda and ask for the details? If the CIA didn't have a plan, wouldn't you or I, if we were members of Congress, tell them to come up with one. Are the Democrats implying that they went to dozens upon dozens of CIA briefings and had no input or questions about what seems to be an obvious reaction or response to the events of 9/11?

For this reason, it sure looks like this whole Cheney/CIA thing is being hyped for the purely political reason of protecting Nancy Pelosi from her own stupidity in saying that the CIA consistently lied to Congress. Of course, if the Democrats say that it isn't about politics; then, one can only conclude that they are admitting to their own, complete stupidity and their complete lack of the kind of leadership that is needed to protect this country! Either way, it makes them look very bad!

So Easily We Forget

Since Obama came to office, there has been much discussion about the detainees at Guantanamo Bay and their rights. From the left's viewpoint, these people are being totally deprived of their rights for criminal justice. But, what about our rights. Because of the events of 9/11, each and everyone of us is unable to live as freely as we did before that date. You know this to be true every time you or I try to board an an airplane. Just look at the fear that was created in New York City, nearly eight years after 9/11, when Air Force One, flanked by two F-16's, flew over the Statue Of Liberty for an Obama Administration authorized photo op.

Al Qaeda existed long before Guantanamo Bay and it will exist long after it is closed. The concept that Guantanamo is a reason that would-be terrorists are joining up with Al Qaeda is like saying that someone joined the Army because they liked those tan jump boots. I would think that the reasons for hooking up with Al Qaeda are quite a bit deeper than that prison in Cuba housing a handful of people. In his speech on National Security, Obama made the statement that Guantanamo Bay was probably responsible for recruiting more terrorists than it was created to house. That may sound good in a speech but it is only his opinion with no real facts to support it and he knows it. It is not provable. It is no more provable than his pledge to save or create 2 to 2.5 million jobs with the passage of his Stimulus Package. At its peak, Guantanamo only held 780 detainees. Today, it is estimated that there is something between .7 and 1.1 billion Muslims in the world. It is also estimated that as much of 7% of that number, about 91 million, are radicalized. If true, an extra 800 or more terrorists being created by Guantanamo is absolutely an insignificant number. Anyway, no self respecting terrorist would ever want to wind up in a prison facility like Guantanamo and be deprived of sacrificing themselves in some extremely violent act. Certainly, if Guantanamo is the only reason people become terrorists, we should see a mass exodus from Al Qaeda as soon as Gitmo is closed. But, my guess is that won't happen. Anyway, how do we know Guantanamo was the reason that anyone joined Al Qaeda? Did Rasmussen or Gallup call up 1500 Al Qaeda terrorists one night and take a poll and ask that question? The left loves to use this "recruiting" argument for closing Gitmo because they like to point back to the story about a Koran being flushed down the toilet as part of the Guantanamo interrogation of terrorists. However, the left seems to ignore the fact that this story was proven false (See Full Story). But those on the left, as many of them always do, love to proliferate a lie for political gain.

Somehow, with Obama now in office, the Democrats are attempting to erase the history and anxiety after 9/11. They seem to want to ignore the reasons behind everything that was done in the short time following 9/11. The people of this country and our Congress demanded that the Bush Administration make us safe from another attack. Gitmo and harsh interrogation resulted out of those demands and out of that fear. Let's not forget that most of these detainees weren't on some kind of Sandals or Beaches vacation; laying out in the sun in their monokinis while sucking down pina coladas. Rather, they came their from other countries to join in the Jihad; to kill Americans and their allies; and, to die to reap the rewards of Allah. These people are so distasteful to their own citizens that their own home countries won't take them so that we can close Gitmo. To this date, the oh-so-smart Obama has been only able to convince two countries to take two of these detainees.

I hear other Democrats and Obama's Defense Secretary, Robert Gates, say that Guantanamo presents a bad image to the rest of the world. If it has a bad image, that's because our left-wing press in "this country" spent the last 5 years demonizing Gitmo as a way to destroy George Bush and his Administration. Papers like the New York Times and the Washington Post and magazines like Time and Newsweek (owned by the Washington Post) spared no ink in trashing Gitmo as a means to get Democrats back in office. As mentioned previously, the left-wing Newsweek caused international riots and deaths as a result of their false story about a Koran being flushed down a toilet. All throughout the Bush Administration, the left-wing, Fifth Estate worked feverishly to undermine our National Security so that they could dethrone Bush and the Republicans and install their own, left-wing, ideology.

But, so easily do the national media and the Democrats forget. If we ever get attacked again, there will be all these people on the left who will once again squirm out of the fact that it was their policies -- their softness on national security --- that put us at more risk for that attack than any harboring of less than 800 prisoners at Guantanamo ever did. This is exactly what happened because of the emasculation of this nation's security; starting with the Democrat's Church commission and ending with the softness of the Clinton Administration to take out Bin Laden before the 9/11 events unfolded.

Lastly, the national media seemed not to connect the dots on the 4 terrorists that were caught this week before they were able to blow up synagogues and take down a military jet with a stinger missile. These people were Americans that converted to Islam and were radicalized while in prison. Radical Islam is like a virus and it strikes those who harbor ills against this country; like the majority of inmates in our prisons that operate outside of normal society. If we do close Gitmo and move those detainees into U.S. prisons, it isn't their escape we need worry about. It is the radicalization of the disenchanted in those prisons that should concern us. That's the real risk that the mainstream media and the Democrats are too ignorant to understand. Furthermore, it is highly possible that some activist liberal judge or judges will ultimately rule to release these people and, because their home countries won't take them back, they will wind up on our own city streets. What then? To say that won't happen is pure idiocy. All you have to do is look at the number of harden criminals, pedophiles, and rapists that liberal judges have sent back onto our streets with very disastrous results.

The Church Commission in Redux

Picture yourself as being blind and entering a strange room. Then, someone hits you on the side of your head. Suddenly, as a blind person, you've then lost both your bearings and confidence to get out of that room. You subsequently panic.

In many ways, the United States was a lot like that blind person in 2001 when the events of 9/11 hit. As a country, we were panicked by the events of that infamous day. The 9/11 Commission blamed much of what happened on an intelligence failure. The bottom line was that we really didn't have the "spying" wherewithal to see that 9/11 was coming. Consequently, we had to employ forms of harsh interrogation to overcome our "blindness" in order to keep this country safe. That's the real context in which harsh interrogations were done.

Much of that intelligence failure of 9/11 was a result of the Church Commission activities of the 1970's that forced this country to pull back from our spying throughout the world. Frank Church, a Democrat, and the Democrats of Congress who authorized his commission, followed the "peacenik" attitude of that time. They were all being driven by the hatred of anything that had to do with war and as a result of the failures of the Vietnam war. Those same attitudes continue on to this very day with the likes of Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid/Barack Obama and most of the other anti-war Democrats that populate our Congress.

In many ways, the Church Commission was revived, yesterday, when Barack Obama said that he was "open" to prosecution of Bush Administration personnel that gave any "legal opinion" that allowed any harsh interrogation techniques (See Full Story).

If the Obama's gang of hateful lefties does go after the members of the Bush Administration, then, the effect of doing so can be as chilling to our intelligence operations, going forward, as was the effect of the Church Commission in the twenty-some years that lead up to 9/11. If former people in the Bush administration are, in some way, prosecuted, it will send a message to almost everyone in future administrations that they should hold back to avoid getting involved with any decisions that may come back to bite them in the future. At the very least, this means that "snap" decisions will not be made at times when quick decisions might be seriously needed. That could mean the difference of immediately acting on a lead (say, to catch Bin Laden) and, instead, letting it slip through our hands. At worse, it means that we may cripple our intelligence operations to the extent that we could easily suffer from the events of another 9/11-like event in the future.

This is so typical of this President and this Congress. Barack Obama talks of developing a Public/Private partnership to end this recession; but, then, turns around and constantly attacks Wall Street; forces reductions in pay and compensation; and back taxes incomes away. This just creates fear of government and hardly the partnership that is needed.

Similarly, in this situation, he talks of reaching across the aisle to unite and eliminate partisan politics. So, what does he do? He spawns a witch hunt over interrogations to cause increased division. Also, with this week's actions, he is creating an environment of "fear" that will, more than likely, cripple our intelligence operations. This despite his daily Obama-speak that says he wakes up each morning concerned about the safety of this country.

From the day he released the memo about harsh interrogation techniques, it was his intention to inflame his base on the left such as MoveOn.org. After all, he is a product of MoveOn.org and George Soros. They are the puppet masters for this guy.

In order to satisfy the left of his base and their rabid hate of Bush and his people, Obama is now willing to put our country at risk for god-only-knows how many years to come; just like the bone-headed Frank Church and his stupid commission. If the Bush Administration's legal opinions are illegal activities and so set in concrete in this country, then, maybe, we should prosecute every single Federal Judge whose decisions and opinions were ultimately overturned by our Supreme Court. After all, in most of those cases that judge's faulty decision completely violated some one's constitutional rights. We could start prosecutions with the most overturned court system in this country: The left-wing, California-based 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Maybe, too, Obama's Attorney General, Eric Holder, should be prosecuted for his abuse of power in advising Mr. Clinton that he should give Marc Rich a full and complete pardon in what appears to be purely political payback for fund raising operations by Rich's wife. Then, too, Eric Holder should also explain his motives for also advising President Clinton to give 16 Puerto Rican nationalists --- who were all enemies of our State --- clemency. Maybe we should prosecute any Senator or Congressman who authors a bill and who gains its approval and it is passed into law; only to be overturned as being unconstitutional by our Supreme Court.

If we are going to go down this road of political retaliation every time a new Administration and dominant political party takes over, then those who are in charge, today, should be prepared for the same when they leave office. For example, if there is any waste in all this stimulus, maybe we should prosecute members of this Administration for misappropriation of funds. What this President and this left-wing Congress are doing is establishing a serious precedent for future decisions of government.

There is much that this country does that is far more torturous than waterboarding or the releasing of a caterpillar in a room with a known terrorists to extract valuable information. Think about Janet Reno, then working for Bill Clinton, and her directive to create high intensive lighting and loud music so that the Branch Davidians couldn't sleep and so they would eventually surrender. Wasn't that torture? Every day, hundreds of suspected criminals are tasered. I'm not actually sure, but tasers are probably just as extreme and injurious to a person as waterboarding or slamming someone into a padded wall. What about the psychological effects of putting prison inmates into solitary confinement. Is that not a form of torture?

As a country, and for over three years now , we have been well aware that waterboarding was being done. You can thank the New York Times for that. Yet, the people on the left are "now" acting as if this was the first time we ever heard of it. That's because this is another one of Obama's orchestrations of hate and division. It is just like the picketing of AIG homes by the SEIU labor union and by ACORN; Obama support organizations. This time, the "go-signal" was Obama's intentional release of the Bush Justice Department memos. This, then, became the appetizer for the hard left to literally go nuts. You had the far left crazies like Feinstein, Feingold, Leahy, Conyers, Soros, and MoveOn.org mobilize (just like the ACORN and SEIU over AIG bonuses). This reminds me of the same kinds of mobilizations you would see in a "banana republic" when the in-charge dictator would get thousand of loyalists into the streets to make it look as if the whole country was in an uproar over some whipped-up issue.

Lastly, our Congress, both Democrats and Republicans, were well aware of these interrogation techniques as a result of many confidential briefings that they attended during the Bush years. This is whole thing is political maneuvering and another attempt by this President to divide this country.

Two Faces of Evil Now MIA

Sometimes, silence is truly golden.

In the last few days, there have been two news stories that can only warm the hearts of all the good and the free peoples of the world.

First, that nasty little fellow known as Adam Gadahn, that American turned Al Qaeda and a loud propagandist spokesman for Bin Laden, may actually be dead. His vile mouth hasn't been heard from since January and he may have been taken out in one of those U.S. air strikes on an Al Qaeda/Taliban position along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border (See Full Story).

Secondly, that little pompous dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong Il, may have suffered a stroke and may no longer be in charge of that country (See Full Story). He was noticeably missing during this week's grand celebration for the 60-years of the Communist control of that country. That's 60-years of violated human rights; near complete isolation from the rest of the world; and, a total economic failure that has resulted in famine for most North Koreans! What an accomplishment! And, let's not forget this little guy's accomplishment of proliferating missiles and nukes to the other bad guys of this world!

Sadly, there are more than enough bad guys in the world so as to make the loss of these two faces of evil really immaterial in the larger scheme of things. I am sure that some day, another misguided American will join the ranks of Al Qaeda and fill Gadahn's void. Also, there are more than enough gray-outfitted little commies in North Korea to continue on with the twisted aspirations of Kim Jong Il.

The world has always had it's share of evil; starting with Cain in the story of Cain and Abel. The prospects are very slim that we will ever see the day when the earth is free of evil. However, it is somewhat comforting that two less symbols of evil may have been taken away from the world's stage. For that, I'll toast to their demise!

On this day, in the remembrance of the events of 9/11, we should take pause to remember the dead and heroes of that day. But, also, we should never forget the evil that took those lives and the lives of all those who are now our heroes in New York, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C. We must be always vigilant. And, most importantly, we must do everything in our power to protect those that we love and all our neighbors in the world from those seemingly endless faces of evil that roam this earth.

A Possible Terrorist Smack-Down!

Sounding a little like our Presidential nomination activities, here, in the United States, Al Qaeda (a Sunni organization) is fighting for the hearts and minds of every Muslim terrorist in the world over their chief Shiite rival in the Middle East: Iran. Osama Bin Laden's number two henchman or cub-reporter, Ayman al-Zawahri, has issued a communique that claimed Iran was trying to discredit one of Al Qaeda's chief accomplishments: 9/11 and the destruction of the World Trade Center. There is no word if Bin Laden or al-Zawahri will challenge Iran's President, Ahmadinejad, to a series of debates so that all would-be terrorists in the world can make up their minds as to whether or not Al Qaeda or Iran is the better terrorist organization to belong too. We'll keep you posted.
