Over the last 26 months, we lost 8.4 million jobs to this recession. That's an average of 332,000 jobs being lost every month.
In a new report, Obama's economic team is claiming that their economic plans will create 95,000 new jobs per month over the next year (Click to See Full AP Story: "Obama report: 95,000 jobs to come each month").
Maybe it's just me but, I think 95,000 jobs a months is just pathetic for an Administration that has already claimed to have saved or created 2.5 million jobs in that last year. If they did truly save or create that many jobs -- as they keep claiming -- that's a rate of 208,000 jobs per month. Now, they're only projecting half that number? Nothing with this Administration seems to add up to the truth!
If they truly only create 95,000 jobs a month, that means that we will only recoup one-eighth of the 8.4 million jobs that were lost. At that rate, it will take 8 years to get back to the 2007 job levels.
