Now We Know Why Russia Is Against Missile Defense

Simply speaking, the move by Russia against the Republic of Georgia speaks volumes as to why Russia and Vladimir Putin have been so adamant against the U.S. deploying a missile defense system in the Czech Republic and in Poland (See the story on most recent negotiations).

It is obvious that Russia has plans, again, for Eastern Europe and those defensive systems will only impede those plans. Putin is a hardliner from the days of the U.S.S.R. He wants those glory days to return. Russia's invasion of Georgia is just the first card being played. McCain was right to warn about Putin and Russia (See Full Story). Please take careful note that McCain gave this commentary 5 years ago.

Also, don't forget that Barack Obama is for scrapping this country's plans for a missile defense system (See Video). In recent months, our tests of the missile defense system have been quite successful. Yet, Barack Obama still considers it to be an unproven waste of money. In that same video, Barack Obama would reduce our military strength by cutting back research on new weapons systems and by decimating our nuclear deterrent. In light of the growing Chinese military complex and the now-apparent aspirations of Russia, this just proves how wrong, naive, and dangerous Barack Obama really is. All I can say is that we should all be seriously concerned.
